Starlit Prince

Heralds of Rhimn, Book 5

This book will be released May 20th, 2025!

Four years have passed since the bloody war that ravaged the world of Rhimn. Starlight rules the eternal night, forgotten gods crawl out of hiding, and the fey of Gadhi can finally live in peace.

Well, relative peace.

While they are no longer hunted down, their societal acceptance is tenuous, and there are always those desperate to undo progress. The old guard of the Irongardhe is full of such people. No-one knows this better than Herald-Regent Meparik, reluctant feyrie ruler of Gadhi.

While Meparik attempts to wrangle compassion into the Talimourian Council, an unusual visitor lands on his doorstep; Prince Alaezel, a brief and tender friend made on a diplomacy mission in Ullua.

Forced to flee from the vicious power struggles in his capitol, Prince Alaezel has a secret, controversial plan to recover the Ullua’s throne — necromancy. If he can raise a benevolent sun god to replace Gardhe, he might be able to win the hearts of the Irongardhe and enlist their help in inheriting the Heraldry that he was never supposed to have.

Navaeli, ex-Herald of Silamir, is not impressed when the prince asks for her aid. The Cycle of reincarnation is a dangerous thing to trifle with, and she would not appreciate any spellwork explosions or political upheavals that could ruin the peaceful life she now has within the Frostbitten Court. But . . . perhaps she can be swayed with the promise of a splendid wedding for her, Crislie, and Rowan.

Meparik has reservations of his own, and yet the shy relationship between him and the prince only becomes more confounding the more they work hand-in-hand.

But amid the celebrations and the schemes, something more dangerous than even a botched resurrection may be lurking in the heart of Talimour. The scars of war still bleed, and the crimes of the Irongardhe refuse to be put to rest.
